Missions

Being Christ's hands and feet in Charleston and around the world

We know that it is important to live out our faith through missions. Locally, we’ve worked the elderly, the disabled, and children in need.

This past two years, we have teamed up with the University to raise money for Nothing But Nets to help prevent malaria and for Partners in Health for antiretrovial drugs on World AIDS Day.

Each spring break we take a mission trip somewhere in the US to help the meets of the least, the last, and the lost.

In 2010, Alabama Rural Ministry was our host agency as we served those in need in the Auburn/Tuskegee area of Alabama. The week included lots of home repair and visiting local historical sites.

Past trips have included:
Hurricane Katrina clean-up in Pascagoula and VanCleave, Mississippi
Washington DC
Urban Plunge in Denver

Christmas break 2008-09 we took a trip to Monrovia, Liberia to help build the Bishop Taylor Youth Center and to work with the young people displaced by the recent civil conflict.
